Well what a weekend it was!
In the early{ish} hours of Saturday morning, Joe and I got Buddy ready and made the short trip down to the St.Lawrence Market to go to Woofstock!
There were SO many dogs there, and so many different breeds. Some dog owners had dressed up their dogs in silly outfits, and some even used a doggy-dye to colour their pooches different colours! {Lucky for Buddy, I’d never do that to him…
}
We pretty much just walked around the entire grounds, caught a few minutes of the doggy fashion show, got a few free samples, took a bunch of pictures {pictures to come soon!}, and took Buddy through an obstacle course provided by Paws Way in Toronto. After a couple of hours, Buddy was tired {as were Joe and myself}… So we got back into the car, and drove home. JUST as we started on our way home, it started to rain. We were lucky to have missed it.
The one thing I didn’t quite like was that everything seemed to be solely focused on an abundance of companies selling their products. While it’s great to get out there and learn about all of the new doggy-care products that are out there, and I do understand that these companies are what makes Woofstock happen, I would liked to have seen a few more non-selling activities going on. The obstacle course was great, and the “doggy daycare” was cute and all, but if you missed the fashion show or the dog trick show, it’s pretty much just a large outdoor-dog-friendly shopping mall for dog care items. I’m really glad we went though, and we’ll probably go again next year.
